"What we've got here is...failure to communicate." -- from "Cool
Hand Luke"
This is a straightforward multicache with no puzzles to solve or
information to gather. The first stage lists coordinates for two
waypoints, and the other stages each contain coordinates for a
waypoint. The main obstacle is that the stages have been laid out
so that there is some backtracking if you do it alone. Total
roundtrip from the parking lot is on the order of 4.5 miles for
each team. The trails are relatively hard and smooth gravel.
There was a discussion some time ago in the forums of theGBA.net
about what amateur radio has to do with geocaching. This cache is
an attempt to combine geocaching and communications.
Thanks to Motorbug for suggesting this area for the cache.
10/8/06 - Starting out from the initial waypoint has been a
problem for some. Don't go back the way you came in -- take the
well-worn path around the gate.
5/27/07 - Replaced final and upgraded all waypoints.
9/23/08 - Moved the final to get it out of the weeds.
8/15/09 - Replaced missing stage.
10/3/10 - Replaced missing final.
