Geocache Description:

The cache is not at the posted location. Those coordinates represent the suggested parking for seaking this cache, a camo'd ammo can.

Good evening fellow cachers, and welcome to the Seminole Ranch Conservation Area.
Break out your flashlights & skeeter repelant. This is gonna be a lotta fun!

I was speaking with Jo Anna Babar of the St. John's River Water Management District about hiding another night cache, and I was bemoaning the scarcity of locations that are swampy, critter infested, and accessible after sunset. She suggested this area, formerly home to Fergie Le Frog's "Reflection Cache" (GCGXYG), and after some initial scouting, I gotta say, "Thanx Jo Anna"!

Park at the posted coordinates, which is on Hatbill Rd, off of State Rd 46, a little over 4 miles West of I-95. Proceed on foot roughly 0.43 miles west along the main grade, then slightly north, to N28* 37.205 W080* 58.366, where you'll find three reflectors in a triangle shape, stapled to a tree.

From here, shine your light around till you locate a small reflective marker stapled to another tree. Proceed to this marker, then look for the next marker. Sounds easy, right? Heh!

Jo Anna asked that I stick to existing game trails when the foiliage got too thick, to reduce our impact on the property, which is why your trail meanders all over the place. At some point near the end of the reflector trail, you'll find a tree with a 3 pointed reflective star. Affixed to this tree is a soda bottle preform with the final coordinates inside. From here, continue to follow markers, which will lead you out of the woods. Whwn you find three reflectors pointed down, continue that direction for about 50' and you'll be out of the woods. Watch your step coming out of the woods, as there are ankle breaking holes and dilapidated barbed wire waiting to ruin your day.

As with my other night cache, the marker rules are very simple; If the arrow is pointing up, go straight. If it points right or left, go that direction. If it points slightly right or left, turn slightly in that direction.

I strongly recommend you do not attempt this cache alone. These woods are somewhat perilous during broad daylight, as they are replete with venomous snakes, wild hogs, nasty spiders, and other critters that go "bump" in the night. The perils are significantly increased once the sun sets.

To survive your quest, I suggest you wear rugged boots, long pants and a long sleeve shirt. Bring bug spray, lots of water, at least two flashlights, a spare GPSr, a cell phone, extra batteries and a stout walking stick.

I spoke with a Florida Fish & Wildlife officer regarding this cache, and he requested that folks attempting it leave a cache page printout, or something denoting the fact that they are geocaching, on their dashboards. He advised that, when they find vehicles in the parking lot at night, they assume the owners are poaching, and hoof into the woods in search of them. By placing a cache page printout on your dash, they'll know why you're out there. Please leave your firearms at home, since possession of a gun is an arrestable offense in these woods.

The encrypted hint is actually the coordinates for the tree with the soda bottle preform attached to it. In the event that Mother Nature wipes out a section of reflectors, you'll be able to decrypt the hint and finish the hunt.

FTF prize is a silver 1968 Juego De La XIX Olimpiada Mexico 25 Pesos coin.

Good luck!
