Not dangerous but you should be free from giddiness. Height differences alltogether around 300 meters. Around 2.5 to 3 hours walking time for all caches (back and forth). Good shoes and water.
The 'Barranco del Río' is one of the if not THE most beautiful Barranco on the island. It starts near the Montaña Guajara in the Cañadas del Teide and goes straight down to the sea.
This 3 leg multicache will give you impressing views into the barranco from each single cache. Finding the caches is not really dangerous, but be careful, when seeking the caches. They are all quite near to a precipe. At the final cache close your eyes and listen.....where is the river?
One further advice. Stay on visible pathes as long as possible....thus following your brain rather than GPS. You will get to the wilderness early enough
To get to the first cache, drive to 'El Río' on TF28. Drive uphill from within El Río at::
28°08.602 N 016°31.372 W
until your first parking at:
28°10.196 N 016°32.511W
where you have to find your way to the first ( Stage 1: 28°09.786 N 016°32.746 W) and second cache. The small cache boxes just contain coordinates for the respective next cache.
HINT: Near 28°10.135 N 016°32.773 W take the path left down to Stage 1. Return to this pont and turn left to Stage 2.
After finding the 2nd cache, go back to your car and drive the road further up to:
28°10.809 N 016°32.896W
from where you have to find your way to the final one. Do not care about the road machines working somewhere on the path. Just bypass them. I hope, that they will not put more tar up there.

Practice CITO: I put three plastic bags into the cache. Please feel free to remove one on your visit, to gather the trash along your way. Unfortunately you find it everywhere on this lovely island.

No es peligroso, pero es importante, que no se marea. Desnivel total más o menos 300 metros. Una excursión de más o menos 2.5 hasta 3 horas (ida y vuelta). Buen calzado y agua.
El 'Barranco del Río' es uno si no EL Barranco el más bonito de la isla. Empieza cerca de la 'Montaña Guajara' en las 'Cañadas del Teide' y baja directamente al mar.
Este Multicache de tres tramos te dará de cada cache unas vistas impresionantes en el barranco. Los caches no se encuentran en lugares peligrosos, pero ten cuidado buscandolos. Todos se encuentran cerca del abismo. Al último cache cierres los ojos y oigas....donde es el río?
Un consejo final. Quedate en caminos visibles así largo que posible....siguendo tu cabeza y no el GPS. Legarás suficientemente temprano en una región despoblada.
Para llegar al primer cache, conduces a 'El Río' en la TF28. En el centro de 'El Río' subes hacia arriba con el coche a:

hasta el primer aparcamiento a:
28°10.196 N 016°32.511W
de donde debes encontrar el camino hasta el primer ( Stage 1: 28°09.786 N 016°32.746 W) y segundo cache. Las cajas pequeñas solamente contienen las coordenadas del próximo cache.
AVISO: Cerca de 28°10.135 N 016°32.773 W tomas el camino izquierda abajo a Stage 1. Luego vuelves a este punto y te diriges a la izquerda hasta Stage 2..
Después de que has encontrado el segundo cache, vuelvas a tu coche y siguas la carretera hacia arriba hasta:
28°10.809 N 016°32.896W
de donde debes encontrar el camino a la Final. No te preocupes de las excavadoras, que trabajan en el camino. Paselas. Espero, que no van a poner más asfalto
Practices CITO: Puse tres bolsitas en el cache. Puedas coger una, para recoger la basura, que te accompañará durante la excursión. Desafordunamente lo encuentras por todas partes de esta isla maravillosa.

Die 'Barranco del Río ist eine wenn nicht DIE schönste Barranco auf der Insel. Sie startet in der Nähe des Berges 'Montaña Guajara' in den 'Cañadas del Teide' und führt auf geradem Weg hinunter ans Meer.
Dieser Multi mit 3 Caches wird Dir beeindruckende Ausblicke von jedem einzelnen Cache in die Barranco geben. Die Caches sind nicht an wirklich gefährlichen Stellen, aber sei vorsichtig, wenn Du die Caches suchst. Sie sind alle relativ nahe am Abgrund. Am letzten Cache schließe die Augen und lausche....wo ist der Fluß?
Ein weiterer Rat. Bleibe so lange wie möglich auf sichtbaren Wegen....indem Du Deinem Gefühl und nicht dem GPS folgst. Du kommst früh genug in die Wildnis.
Um zum ersten Cache zu kommen, fahre nach 'El Río' auf der TF28. Innerhalb von El Río fahre den Berg hoch bei:
28°08.602 N 016°31.372 W
bis zum ersten Parkplatz bei:
28°10.196 N 016°32.511W
wo Du den Weg zum ersten ( Stage 1: 28°09.786 N 016°32.746 W) und zweiten Cache finden mußt. Die kleinen Cache Boxen enthalten nur die Koordinaten zum jeweils nächsten Cache.
HINWEIS: Nahe bei 28°10.135 N 016°32.773 W nimm den Weg nach links unten zu Stage 1. Gehe dann zu diesem Punkt zurück und wende Dich nach links zu Stage 2.
Nachdem Du den zweiten Cache gefunden hast, gehe zurück zum Auto und fahre die Straße weiter nach oben bis:
28°10.809 N 016°32.896W
von wo Du den Weg zum Finale finden mußt. Kümmere Dich nicht um die Maschinen, die irgendwo auf dem Weg bei der Arbeit sind. Gehe einfach vorbei. Ich hoffe, daß da oben nicht noch mehr asphaltiert wird.
Praktiziere CITO: Ich habe drei Plastiktüten in den Cache gelegt. Du darfst jederzeit eine rausnehmen, um den Müll einzusammeln, der Dich auf dem Weg begleitet. Leider findest Du ihn überall auf dieser herrlichen Insel.
