Sandrich: Rrrrrrrrrgggggg..... Today during the TurkeyTrot Tree event, several of the flock were accosted, and harrassed by a person who claims to own the land that the 2nd stage is on. TeamSandrich knows for fact that this is not the case! All stages (except the first, which is on our private property) are on PUBLIC land! But in lieu of making for disgruntled neighbors (not that the above mentioned "pumpernickle" hole needs any help in being disgruntled) we will simply archive, and remove this cahe. Our apologies to the flock of well intentioned, and LEGALLY correct 'cachers for this neighbor's behaviour. But we'll take the high road on this one, and simply remove any instance of a negative attitude towards our sport.
We wish to thank everybody who has enjoyed this cache, and we will be certain to ccontinue 'caching in our hood... Sandrich style!

Geocache Description:

Lets take a leisurely stroll around the block, and see what's in TeamSandrich's neighborhood. If you choose to walk, which we encourage, the one way hike is just under 3 miles. But it's pretty easy, and the hills aren't too steep. If you do walk it, then proceed around the rest of the block and it's a shorter way back than the way you came

This multistage micro is a nice walking tour of our neighborhood

. Yes, you can drive, and in the winter make sure it's 4wd. If you choose to park and hike, you may park at the nearest driveway to stage 1. Make sure you print out a copy of this webpage and place on your dashboard as a parking pass (all others will be towed, or pushed into the lake). And pleaee do NOT block the driveway as we use it as well. Thanx {:P]. This route will take you up and down our road, and also some two tracks in our neighborhood. The first and final stages are within 10 feet of the road. The middle stage is a bit further in the woods, lovely, dark and deep. For those you that are interested, there is also a USGS marker within a 128ft radius from the second stage. The real treasure here isn't the micro cache (pencil stub and log book only), but the journey you have. This is a very beautiful corner of our planet, so please be responsible. There is abundant flora and fauna, so take time to enjoy. Spring brings us an abundance of trillium, Summer sees a variety of wildlife, Fall colors our many pastures, and the Winter brings us the most spectacular views of all!
