Geocache Description:

The Irazu National Park:, and volcano by the same name[Irazu] is located in the Central Volcanic Range, it is locate 20 miles Northeast of Cartago, it is over 11,000. feet above sea level and the highest volcano in Costa Rica..

This volcano is best to be visit during the morning time, the earlier the better. Because cloud tend to roll in as the afternoon comes. The temperature there is around 40 degree F. and the wind is around 15 to 20 miles all day long so be careful with the wind chilled affected . The volcano is characterizes by violent eruption and five separate , well defined crater. If you get there in a clear day you should be able to see the Pacific Ocean and the Atlantic. The entree fee is $7.00 for Gringos[all foreigners], and $3.00 for Ticos [Costa Rican]. And the hour open is between 8 AM and 3:PM, everyday of the week Once you are inside and by the sights to see the volcano the road will fork. To go to the cache take the left road. and fallow the GPS you cannot miss it, good luck. The rood to the volcano , is VERY steep, but ok just be careful. item in the cache:Small cup, 2 small pencil, one note book, one collectors coin, pencil sharpener on 4/12/2006 we dried it, so it should stay good.
