Sedackova lanovka je sucastou komplexu budovy starej kaviarne a restauracie Snezienka, z ktorej momentalne je zrekonstruovana len horna cast, na ktorej sa nachadza lanovka. Zvysok budovy tvoria ruiny. Mesto chce tieto ruiny opat pretvorit na restauraciu s wellnes hotelom.
Prvy krat prevadzka na lanovke bola zahajena 11. júla 1972, lanovka premavala do marca 1989. Po odstaveni chatrala 16 rokov. Opatovne uvedenie do prevadzky bolo v piatok 30. septembra 2005 po kompletnej rekonstrukcii. S dlzkou 988 metrov a prevysenim 186 metrov je to urcite najvacsia lanovka v sirokom okoli. Lanovka je v prevadzke celorocne a ponuka moznost odviest sa na nej od 10 -17(posledny nastup) od stvrtka do nedele a cez sviatky.
