Geocache Description:

This cache is located at a 9 ACRE PRAIRIE that has been relatively undisturbed by humans for the past 10,000 years!

The cache is a small vitamin container, slightly larger than the typical film can, that is well concealed and not something you would stumble across unless you are looking for a cache. However, as you will see, there are not very many hiding places at the cache coordinates, so it should not be too difficult to figure out.

YOU DO NOT NEED TO GO OVER THE FENCE TO ACCESS THE CACHE.

Please be careful to put the cache back so that it is secure, but not too hard for the next cacher to open.

Right next to this undisturbed prairie is an area covered with graffiti and littered with empty paint cans that most would probably never believe exists in Buffalo Grove.
You can look one way and see evidence of modern humans, and look the other way and see as it was 10,000 years ago.

Please DO NOT POST PHOTOGRAPHS for this particular cache, I posted 2 for this location that can be viewed below.

Seeing this 9 acre nature reserve in person is much better than viewing it in pictures. But go ahead and take a look at the two below, they are not spoilers.

----------------------------------------

SIGNING PAPER LOG IS OPTIONAL and not necessary.

----------------------------------------

Best way to arrive to cache... Take Lake Cook Road and turn North on either Lexington or Hastings (which are the two roads West of the overpass) because getting to the cache from the East side of the overpass is not much fun.

Unlike most cache hiders, I am telling you how to avoid the harder messy way to get to the cache.

-------------------------------------------

If the cache is wet, YOU DON'T HAVE TO SIGN IT. Just log the find HERE online.

-------------------------------------------

DO NOT COMPLAIN ABOUT THE LOG BEING WET or your find will be deleted.

-------------------------------------------

When you find the cache, you will understand that there is no possible way the log could get wet unless someone is deliberately pouring water into it, or doing caches during rain storms!

-------------------------------------------

Did I mention you DON'T HAVE TO SIGN THE PAPER LOG in order to log a find here?
