Selon moi un des plus beaux site de cette fameuse antique forêt
rhénane, avec ses pieds dans l'eau et ses lianes aux arbres.
I mean it's one of the most beautiful places of this famous old
Rhine forest, with trees feet in water and lianas growing
up.
Le plus simple pour s'y rendre est de traverser le village
d'Offendorf en direction du Rhin (suivre le panneau "GRAVIERES)
puis d'emprunter la route de service au pied de la digue des hautes
eaux (Panneau "Etang de pêche"). Il y a un panneau "Interdiction de
circuler" mais la circulation y est largement tolérée et assidûment
pratiquée. Prenez garde aux promeneurs et aux cyclistes qui
n'aiment pas la vitesse.
Garez votre voiture sur le bas côté de la route face au PK 317,
N° 48 44.540 E 007° 57.877 et consacrez votre
temps au côté opposé face à la forêt rhénane.
Je suis d'avis que ce serait une erreur, ici, de perdre son temps à
résoudre des énigmes, ou a calculer des WP difficiles. Les
coordonnées de la cache sont données en tête du listing. Après que
vous l'ayez trouvée faite une belle promenade dans cette forêt,
mais attention aux moustiques!
The easiest way to reach the WP to drive trough the village of
Offendorf in direction to the Rhine (follow the road sign
"Gravières") till the high water wall and go North following the
road sign "Etang de pêche". Don't be afraid because of the sign "NO
TRAFFIC", cars are well tolerated and the traffic is quite
important. Mind the walkers as well as the cyclists who are not
very found of fast running cars.
Park your car close to the WP N° 48 44.540 E 007°
57.877 on the road side. You have on your right the Rhine
wall (PK 317is to see) and give your time for the other side of the
road: the Old Rhine Forest.
I mean it would be a mistake here to spend your time by resolving
enigmas or calculating difficult WP to the cache. The coordinates
stay at the top of the listing and after you find the cache, go on
for nice walk in this forest. But mind the
mosquitoes!
