Geocache Description:

Defence line from the second world war.

This cache takes the visitor backs to the days of the second world war when Norway was occupied by Germany and large German army groups stood ready to invade Sweden. The threat was at several times imminent between 1940 to 1943.This point along the main road between Arvika and Karlstad was of considerable importance should the war had broken out.
The defence line consisted of three lines of tank obstacles built by stonemasons from Bohuslän and with barb-wire running between them.Behind them a line of trenches and shelters manned by ordinary army soldiers fearing for the worst and hoping for the best.

Edit : Do not miss the Waypoint "Shelter".
