Geocache Description:

this is a new coordinate since the first one was lost to the elements... enjoy!!!

This is located in an area dating back to 1812 along a very historic roadway. Please be respectful!! Also feel free to look aound once you have the cache. There are numerous graves dating back to 1812 along with a few that are unknowns. The road was the first in the area dating back to around the time that the whole area was still a swamp. It was built for troop movement from one fort to another. Many men died on this road. Also a quick note on our indian friend, I found out he was a guide for the army in the war of 1812 and was the first buried in this cemetary. Since he was a scout for the army, he is given veteran status for the USA. Permission has been obtained from Marion Township for this cache.
