Geocache Description:

This is an old style offset cache. You will be halfway between the equator and the south pole when you arrive at the correct location that has a plaque about this.

There is a small cache to find. It only contains paper. It shouldn't be too hard to find if you are in the right place.

The cache site is wheelchair accessible and the actual cache is too.

The reason the distances to Equator and the Pole are different is that if you took a slice through the Poles, the cross-section you get is not a circle. Its actually a geoid - that's a bit like an ellipse. Pirated the log by Grandalf fo the explanation.
