A cache
Visite esta cache se:
- Quiser ter uma perspectiva diferente do rio Tejo e de
Lisboa.
- Não tiver problemas em visitar edifícios abandonados que não
serão por natureza os mais asseados e limpos.
- Quiser ter um vislumbre da vida e trabalho de há 50 anos.
NÃO visite esta cache se:
- Levar crianças que não possa vigiar com atenção
- Não quiser encontrar entulhos e lixos espalhados
- Tiver receio quanto à integridade estrutural de certas zonas do
edificio.
- Não quiser correr o risco de encontrar eventuais pessoas que
ocupem certas zonas do edifício, particularmente à noite.
Acima de tudo use o seu bom senso. Visite a cache de dia se
possível. A última coisa que desejo são lesões, ou encontros
inesperados com possíveis ocupantes do local, daí esta
recomendação. No entanto de dia é perfeitamente seguro, desde que
se tenha cuidado nas zonas que se visitam
O local
A fábrica de vinhos da Arealva situada junto à margem Sul do
Tejo é uma amálgama de edifícios e jardins encravados entre a
falésia e a margem do rio.O local é frequentado por pescadores.
Podemos dividir os edifícios em dois tipos. Grandes espaços
industriais que incluem na sua maioria os tanques para armazenagem
de vinho. Nos pisos superiores, zonas de escritórios com várias
salas separadas.
A caçada
Após a versão original da cache ter estado dentro do edifício,
decidi agora colocá-la no exterior. O seu acesso é agora mais fácil
mas necessitam de ser mais discretos.
Os edifícios foram atingidos por um incêndio.
Não me parece que continue a ser seguro visitar o interior na
maioria dos locais. Penso que parte do interesse do local se
perdeu, incluíndo pequenas recordações de décadas passadas, mas
continua a valer a visita mesmo que só ao exterior.

The cache
Visit this cache if:
- You want to have a different perspective of the Tagus and
Lisbon.
- You don't have restrictions of hinderances visiting abandoned
buildings. They will not be totally clean or trash free.
- You want a glimpse of life and work 50 years ago.
DON'T visit this cache if:
- Take children you can't keep a close watch on
- You don't want to find trash and litter
- You're afraid about the structural integrity of the
building
- You don't want to risk meeting and finding persons who might be
using certain rooms as shelter, especially at night.
Above all, use your common sense. Visit this cache by day if
possible. I would deeply regret any injuries or unexpected
encounters by visitors to the cache. By the day it is perfectly
safe as long as you be careful with the areas you visit.
The Location
The Arealva wine factory is a mix of buildings and gardens stuck
between the cliff and the Tagus river south bank. Fishermen often
are at the location.
The spaces are of two kinds. Large industrial areas, mostly
housing the wine tanks and, in the upper floors, office areas in
several separate rooms.
The hunt
After the original version had been located inside the building,
I've decided on replacing in on the outside. Access is therefor
easier but you need extra stealth.
The buildings were partially destroyed by a
fire recently. I do not think it's safe to visit the interior
anymore. At least on most areas. Unfortunately part of the interest
has been lost, including souvenirs and mementos from decades ago
but it's still worth a visit.
