A small cache in the area of the Big Basin Redwoods State Park Headquarters
I was invited to go on a birthday geocaching Skyline to the Sea hike and decided to set out some additional caches for the birthday boy and friends to find.
The Big Basin Redwoods State Park Headquarters area can be the starting point of many hikes in this park.
There is a nature exhibit in the building that houses the HQ and across the road is a little store.
While the cache is not there, check out the interesting exhibit of the tree cut next to the nature center.
There is no need to go beyond the fence. So don't!

Note for continuing with "50sumtin's Big Basin Park HQ to Sea Baker's Dozen!", note the clue in the cache (do not remove clue). Then cross the parking lot, go past the amphitheater and the rest rooms, and take the foot bridge to pick up the Skyline to the Sea Trail. Go left towards Big Hiney Cache or right to Mike Ferguson to the rescue! Big Basin Edition.
