The Hermit and the Waterfall (Monmouthshire) Mystery Cache
The Blorenges: Sadly, it's gone (again). It was well concealed when we put the replacement there in June, so... I think the geocaching gods are trying to tell us that this cache has had its day. It's had a good run. Thanks to all who've visited it over years passed.

Overlooking the beautiful Wye Valley and village of Llandogo this
historic site is where the 6th Century Bishop of Llandaff is said
to have spent time as a hermit by the Cleddon Falls.
The cache is on the Wye Valley walk and offers some spectacular
views of the river Wye as it winds through the valley. Cleddon
falls drains a large marshy area which is a nature reserve. In wet
weather the falls can be quite spectacular though care is needed on
the lower footpath as it can be quite slippery.
You need to find the answers to a couple of clues first. These are
located near the parking area at the falls (main coordinates above)
and at the large forest car park at Whitestone in Bargain Wood
(N51° 43.393 W002° 41.491) which has picnic area, toilets and
children’s playground. You can do a circular walk from either
car park. Distance is about 1.6 miles.
Clue 1: (Whitestone) How far is it to Botany Bay? Add these two
numbers together and multiply the total by 3 for coordinate
x.
Clue 2: (The Falls) You can ride a horse to Pen Y Fan. How far is
it? Add the two numbers together for co-ordinate y.

The cache itself is a small, camo-ed box about 4" x 2" x 2".
