Geocache Description:

Das hätte eigentlich ein Multi durch Tulln mit mehreren Sehenswürdigkeiten werden sollen. Allerdings wurde daraus nichts, weil in der Stadt der GPS-Empfang wirklich lausig ist. Ein Spaziergang durch die Innenstadt und über die Donaulände zahlt sich aber jedenfalls aus bzw. bietet sich am Weg zum Cache sogar an.

Mit einem etwas geländegängigen Kinderwagen kommt man bis unmittelbar zum Cache, die letzten paar Meter können aber etwas mühsam werden.

Achtung! Viele der Parkplätze im Zentrum sind gebührenpflichtig, es zahlt sich also aus um die nächste Ecke oder in eines der beiden Parkhäuser (1. Stunde gratis) zu fahren.

Öffentlich ist Tulln über die Franz-Josephs-bahn zu erreichen, vom Bahnhof Tulln ist es ein etwas weiterer Spaziergang (ca. 2km), von der Haltestelle "Tulln Stadt" etwas kürzer (ca. 1 km).

Tulln ist ein sehr beliebtes Ziel für Radfahrer, der Donauradweg führt wenige Meter am Cache vorbei (wenn man auf der richtigen Seite der Donau ist, sonst muss man vorher über die Brücke).

Actually, this was intended to become a multicache through Tulln starring some sights. Alas, this was impossible due the the real lousy GPS reception. Nevertheless, a stroll through the inner city and beside the danube can be highly recommended and can be easily combined with looking for the cache.

With a sturdy buggy you can get close to the cache, the last few meters may be a little inconvenient.

Warning! Most of the parking lots in the center are not free of charge, so sometimes it's worth tryin to find a free one around the next corner or in one of the two parking garages(1st hour free).

Tulln can be easily reached by train, it's a bit longer walk from station "Tulln" (about 2 km) and a bit shorter from "Tulln Stadt" (about 1 km).

Tulln is a very popular destination for cyclists, the danube cycle track runs a view meters beside the cache (if you are on the right side of the danube, otherwise you have to cross the bridge before).
