The tail ends about 300 feet from the Beaver Pond. This is open woods without much more than a 10 foot elevation change.
Several years ago the beaver were very active in this pond and in one south of it. They had a channel they swam between the two ponds. The dry summers dropped the water level the channel dried up and now most of the pond. The beaver left a couple years ago.
You can see ther house in the middle of the pond and evidence of their cuttings in the area.
The two largest trees they tried to cut down are in this area. One is still standing and the other fell a year or so ago.
CAUTION: THIS IS DEER HUNTING AREA hunter orange highly recommended Nov 15- Dec 20.
