This area is rich with history. Lives of early settlers were hard and hazardous. A most educational place.
The cache itself is not hard to find, however you will have to suffer for it. The trails are well maintained with pleanty of shade and no water. The Log chutes you will see were used to slide full Bunya and Hoop Pine logs down to the mills once they had been sapped (bark of). Upon impact at the bottom these logs would bury themselves up to 10 feet deep.
