Enjoy a loop walk around
scenic Serpentine Lake in
Hyde
Park in Westminster. If you begin at Hyde Park Corner, the
walk will take you about 1.5 miles and maybe 60 minutes as you
search for the 6 caches and enjoy the views. You can also begin at
the Serpentine Bridge car park and walk east to Hyde Park Corner,
although you will have to circle the lake to catch them all. Posted
hours for the park are 5am to Midnight, and it must be very
beautiful on a moonlit night. The park is lush with flowers right
now, and the large green open spaces give it a sense of
peacefulness. Dozens of park benches line the walkways for a quick
lunch or a lingering visit with a good novel. The Serpentine
boating lake is filled with birds at this time in the season
(February), but will soon be a popular boating lake when the
weather improves.
Hyde Park is one of London's finest landscapes and covers over
350 acres and it has been open to the public since 1637.
