It struck the Kilroys and me as we were talking, that a large
preponderance of East Bay Area events happen in the eastern and
southern counties thereof (probably due to the preponderance of
cachers therein!) And we agreed that there's so much lovely
parkland on our side of the hills, that it'd be a shame not to host
our caching friends in some of it.
That being so, please join the Kilroys and me, at the Anna Costa
picnic area of beautiful Roberts Regional
Recreational Area, in the Oakland/Piedmont hills. There're
barbecue grills, and there'll be hot coals available, and a certain
amount of stock laid in in the food and drink department, but
you're encouraged to bring what you'd like to share. Festivities
commence at 11am or so, and conclude when we're durn good and
ready, or at park curfew, whichever comes first. There'll be time
and space for demos, or for visiting a couple of nearby traditional
caches (if you haven't already found them), or whatever else suits
us. We're open to suggestion! The picnic area holds 50 people, but
I'm sure nobody will mind if we spill over onto the lawn. There's a
$4 fee to park in the rec area's lots on weekends. Hope to see you
there!
