Le meravigliose vigne del Chianti.
The beautiful Chiantishire vineyards.
Panzano è una graziosa cittadina in cima ad un colle, vicino a
Greve in Chianti, nel cosiddetto "Chiantishire". Il luogo offre
delle vedute meravigliose sulle aree rurali della Toscana: tutto
intorno vi sono campagne meravigliose coltivate a vigneto, nella
cosiddetta "Conca d'Oro" di Panzano, che in autunno-inverno si
colorano di giallo e di rosso rendendo i paesaggi veramente
stupendi.
La cache è posizionata lungo la strada che conduce all'oratorio di
Sant'Eufrosino (un santo locale venerato dai Panzanesi), che
suggerisco vivamente di visitare. L'oratorio risale al Medioevo, ed
è stato ricostruito nel 1441; la chiesetta ha al suo interno un
altare Romanico molto interessante; l'intera struttura è posta nel
cuore della "Conca d'Oro" panzanese.
La cache è posta in una scatola in plastica, ben nascosta; si
faccia attenzione, per cortesia, a nascondere con cura la scatola
dopo averla visitata: nel periodo di vendemmia girano, vicino alla
cache, molte persone.

Panzano is a small village near Greve in Chianti, at few km from
Florence, in the middle of the so-called "Chiantishire". The place
offers a very attractive view of rural Tuscany: lot of vineyards
all around, in the so-called "Conca d'Oro" area ("Golden Conch")
change the colour during the autumn-winter painting in yellow and
red the hills.
The cache is located in one of the vineyards along the road that
leads to the Oratory of Saint Euphrosynus (Sant'Eufrosino). I
strongly suggest to visit it too: the oratory was built in the
Middle Age and rebuilt in 1441; the church has a chapel with a
little Romanesque altar, and it is located in a place with a
fantastic view on "Conca d'oro".
The cache is in a tupperware, well hidden: please, pay attention to
re-hide very well the box after your visit because, during the
grape harvesting period, lot of people walks near the wall.
