Rund um die Booser Maare finden Sie 35 Info-Tafeln zum Vulkanismus
und zur Tier- und Pflanzenwelt.
Ein rund 4 km langer Wanderweg lädt ein zum Erholen in reizvoller
Eifellandschaft.
Unterhalb des Booser Eifelturms findet Ihr eine sehr beeindruckende
Lavawand mit wellenartigem Muster.
Vor ca. 40 Mio Jahren waren die ersten Vulkane in Boos aktiv.
Die letzten vulkanischen Aktivitäten liegen nur etwa 8.000 - 10.000
Jahre zurück.
Im Bereich der Kratertour findet man insgesamt 8
Schlackenkegelvulkane und die beiden Maare.
Maare und Schlackenkegel waren zeitweise nebeneinander täti
