Geocache Description:

Semirural wooded area on the north shore of Long Island with lots of nature. An easy afternoon jaunt and lots to explore. A Japanese walking garden is within a mile of the site.

Small transparent plastic containter about 4 X 7 X 2" containing small log notebook, pen, and several small items (listed inside front cover of book). Cache is covered but easily found (assuming you are patient with the GPS). Area is not heavily frequented but depends on day. The large number of trees make it hard to get a good satellite fix but the coordinants will put one within about 12 feet of the cache. Parking is just west of N 40 52.806 W073 33.799. Stay on the trails until close to cache. Enjoy the walk. Replace it carefully and cover loosely. Report the color of the lid or one of the original listed items (inside notebook cover) to confirm find using a separate direct e-mail to me (do not enter into the public log).
