Prvého novembra sa každoročne uzatvárajú mnohé turistické chodníky v Tatrách. Táto keška leží na jednom z nich. Prosím, rešpektujme vôľu Správy Tatranského národného parku a počkajme si na jej hľadanie do júna 2024, kedy sa chodníky opäť otvoria na letnú turistickú sezónu.

V období zimnej uzávery, od 1.11.2023 až do 15.6.2024 je táto keška dočasne nedostupná.

V záujme zachovania dobrých vzťahov a budúcnosti hry v TANAPe, prosíme ownerov o dodržanie dočasného vypnutia kešiek. Opätovnú aktiváciu listingu môže vykonať owner (zalogovaním Enable listing logu) - nie skôr ako 15.6.2024, alebo kešku znovu "zapne" reviewer.

Ďakujeme za pochopenie a tešíme sa na ďalšiu turisticko-kešerskú sezónu v Tatrách.

Táto keška bola nominovaná na Slovak GeoAwards 2014

The High Tatra is the top of the Carpathians. It is the smallest high-mountains of the world. This multi cache invites you on a nice trip with 5 virtual stages and a 6th traditional cache on the end. The coordinates of the 6th stage (cache) are: N 49° 09.X71' E 20° 13.Y67', where the missing X and Y values you must collect at the first and the fourth stage.
WARNING! The Tatra is a really high-mountain. The path is open only from the beginning of July to the end of October, but sometimes the first snow comes already on the end of August. According the tourist map you need 10 hours from the beginning point to the last cache. If you are in good conditions, it can be less, but if the weather is bad, it can be more. The weather can change rapidly; you must take warm clothes, raincoat and good shoes.
First stage: N 49° 10.622' E 20° 10.057' 1975 m (on the given coordinates), a small copy of the valley close to Zbojnicka chata (hostel and restaurant), 1965 m. You can start from Hrebienok (N 49° 09.530' E 20°13.495' 1280m), which you can reach from Starý Smokovec by funicular or by foot on the green marked path. From Hrebienok follow the red marked path to the North and change after a quarter of an hour to the blue marked path to Zbojnicka chata. The missing value in the first coordinate (X): On the given point you find the small copy of the valley and the hills around it. You can get the value of Xif you subtract one from the last digit of the altitude of "MALÝ JAVOROVÝ šTÍT". (Warning! On the map there is an other value.)
Second stage: N 49° 10.620' E 20° 08.690' 2290 m Prielom, a nice pass. From Zbojnicka chata on the bluemarked path, which crosses the pass.
Third stage: N 49° 10.410' E 20° 08.415' 2200 m Polský hreben, an other nice pass. From Prielom on the blue marked path to N 49° 10.450' E 20° 08.375' 2125 m, from here on the green marked path to Polský hreben.
Fourth stage: N 49° 10.518' E 20° 08.728' 2430 m Východná Vysoká, a peak with excellent view on the whole High Tatra. On SW you can see before you the highest peak of Tatra (Gerlachovský štít, 2655 m). From Polský hreben you reach Východná Vysoká on the yellow marked path. The missing value in the second coordinate (Y): On the top (on the given point) you find an iron rod fixed in concrete. You can reed the value of Y on the top of the rod (see picture).
Fifth stage: N 49° 09.365' E 20° 09.435' 1665 m Sliezsky dom (hotel and restaurant). From the peak beck to Polský hreben, from here on the greenmarked road to the hotel. Warning! Downstairs it can be more dangerous.
Sixth cache: N 49° 09.X71' E 20° 13.Y67' Traditional cache (12 cm high, 7 cm diameter jam-pot) close to Hrebienok. From Sliezsky dom follow the red marked path which drive you in the neighborhood of the cache. There is a busy path close to the cache, please, log carefully!
