Geocache Description:

Turk Island Revisted

This area used to be home for the Plummer's Turk Island Salt Works which was established in 1868. Later this land gave way to what many long time Union City residents remember as the "Turk Island Dump". As a child, I used to go with my dad to the dump every few months. I loved it. I found my first skateboard here. But those days are gone.

"Development and progress" has taken siege to the area. Amidst the near million dollar homes is Sea Breeze Park. Located immediately adjacent to the old dump itself(yup that hill is all garbage), lies a baseball field. Picnic tables and play ground are located on the opposite side of the park.

This cache is camo'd and away from most muggle activity. But please still keep an eye out for the curious.

NOTE: This cache is not for the squeamish. Past cachers have been known to feel a bit ANTSy after the find. Please replace cache as you found it.
