Geocache Description:

This funny cliff is called "Slottet", which literally translates into "The Castle". It has also given name to the nearby road tunnel Slottsporten ("The Castle Gate"). It's one of the greatest landmarks of Mofjorden. Local folklore says it's going to fall down into Mofjorden some day, creating a giant wave which will destroy the Mo village. Let's hope that day is far off...

Slottet is ca 195 meters above sea level. There is a well-marked trail leading to the top of Slottet. There is a great view of Mofjorden, Mo and the surrounding mountains.

You can also lean over and look directly down at the road some 170 meters below. But you don't have to... and the cache is in a good, safe distance to the cliff.

The trail starts at N60 48.224 E5 45.590, and you can park along the road there. 30-45 minutes walking to the cache.

There is also a logbook for Slottet itself, placed in a postbox near the top. Remember to sign that as well.
