Geocache Description:

This is a nice peaceful area along the San Joaquin River. I saw several fishermen here. Bring a fishing pole and try your luck.

Over a year ago, a cache in this area was archived after several DNF logs. The owner didn't actually confirm it was missing; he just archived it. That cache was pretty well hidden in some rocks, and I wasn't convinced it was really missing. So one day I decided to go see if I could find it. The area had changed a lot in the two years since I had found the cache, and after searching for about 15 minutes I decided it was futile.

Since I was on my bike, I continued farther down the trail to see if I could find an interesting place to put a new cache. I think I found a pretty neat place, if I do say so myself

Legal parking, for a small fee, is at N37 47.212 W121 18.373. There is a tunnel near those coords that leads in the direction of the cache. You can avoid the fee and park across the street to the northeast a bit. For those that are familiar with the backroads of Manteca, you can probably drive a lot closer to the cache, but this will require getting past a security guard and crossing a construction area. Once construction is complete, the parking coords above will be the only option, as they are building a gated community.

Please make sure to put everything back the way you found it, so the next finder gets the full effect.
