Geocache Description:

On the trail from Seathwaite to Scarfell Pike, parking at N54 29.988 W 003 10 913. A 2 mile walk over rough track with steep sections.

The cache ( N 54 28.117 W 003 10. 913) placed by wozere (formely the wetherspooners)with thanks to the Cache Hoppers, Andybug & Ladybird, Pid of Ben Pic along with John and his dog Chester from the Phillmore Clan who as a group enjoyed the acsent to Scarfell Pike and to celebrate the new friendships formed that day started a cairn.
The cairn was for Geocachers who make there way to Scarfell Pike, one we hoped would grow and grow alongside Geocashing. However we think the stones were used in the renewal of the trail and only a large semi sunken stone remains at the side of the path. Some have found the cache and not the cairn/stone, though if you reverse the clue from the cache you should find the cairn/stone.THE CAIRN NO LONGER EXISTS BUT THE CACHE DOES.THANKS TO ALL THOSE WHO FIND AND HELP MAINTAIN THIS CACHE.
