Located on trail system in Curtis Homestead on Bog Road. Park at 44.15.871 70.05.211. You will see a kiosk here. This land was donated by Gov. Curtis to the Kennebec Land Trust. This land was perserved through six generations of the Curtis Family that settled & farmed the land.
The mile long Eastern Fields Trail loops around the eastern portion of the property. It passes through well established forest on land once cleared & used for raising crops & grazing animals. Cache is located along the stone wall which the trail passes through. Cache is a fairly large (2 gal?) black container with gold twist lid. There is no need to disturd the wall.
