Geocache Description:

This cache is approximately 3/4 the way up Will's Mt. in Hyndman along the "Mail Path"

This path leading from Centerville to where the Tannery was located south of Hyndman is known as the Mail Path. The mail for Centerville came to Hyndman by train and was carried over the mountain on foot.
When the Parcel Post System was established, about 1913, the mail was carried over the mountain on horseback.
When Route 220 was completed between Bedford and Cumberland, the mail was carried by bus going through Centerville. The Mail Path was abandoned. This path is now used by local hunters to reach the upper parts of Will's Mountain.

The cache is a small metal flare container hidden not far from the Mail Path.
