The area is one of the highest in Wappingers Falls. The hike is short, on a mildly overgrown woods road, and the views are spectacular anytime of year! There's easy access all year round in any type of weather.
The cache is a standard rubbermaid (clear with white top) and measures approximately 3x6x8". It originally contained:
A Bungee Cord
A Woven Dog Leash
A Large Sewing kit
Sherman the Tank TB
Pen, Pencil, Sharpener
Log Book
Access to ground zero can be made from several locations. One is on Channingville Rd, One is on Sheafe Road (accross from Bowdoin Park), but the easiest is off of Delavergne Ave. Parking at the latter access point can be as close as 200 ft from GZ. It's a fairly easy find, it's the view near the cache that I want you to see. The area has a fairly thick tree canopy so you'r GPSr may swing a bit. I'm always open to coordinate updates. Once found, seek the highest ground near the cache and look all around!
