NOTE: SNAKE TERRAIN!!! Watch here you are stepping and placing
your hands. I encounted a 3-4' bull snake in the grass on the way
up to the cache. The rocks in the area are also prime sunny spots
for our legless little friends.
Javelina in norhtern California? Sounds odd to a former Arizona
resident like me! The feral pigs that haunt this area are another
beast entirely.
I hope you enjoy the marvelous views from this saddle area. You
can look down at the nearby lake. The views out over Coyote Valley
are impressive. It will take a bit of a climb to get to this cache,
but seating is provided nearby by mother nature. Take a rest, enjoy
the day.
