Geocache Description:

The ice breaking point oeschinen Lake 24. August 2022 - temporary closed - danger of fallig rocks & flash floods !!!!!!!!!!! -------------- high DANGER level ------------------- do not go !! 24. August - temporär geschlossen, Fels-stürze und überschwemmungen möglich - nicht ins Wandergebiet gehen !!!!!

1. Park your car 2. find the footpath 3. determine a coord for some more coords 4. find a micro "Treasuretin" to get the Cache_Coords 5. make the full CACHE (cachesite) 6. go to the final coords of the Cache and relax in the sun (watchpoint) If you take the cable car, or come down "from the other side" you find the Cache coords within the hint .. The ice breaking point is my favorite watchpoint for ice erruptions. You can lay down for hours and watch, especially under sunny conditions in the spring and summer. Check: https://youtu.be/rvBqD4xiR-g around the maountains: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1MOaiC12gKI Starting city is Kandersteg, follow the road sign to oeschinen and you will find a good parking spot (near the campground). N 46 29.755 , E oo7 40.816 (All waypoint's are in one line and on the trail) You will need a good pair of shoes and you have to be prepared for a mountain tour. During peak season (Ski time & sommer) you have two restaurants with delicous swiss delicacies at the final Cache and lake available. After parking your car, there is a nice footpath at: N 46 29.748 E 007 40.915 follow the pathway up the mountain until you reach: The first important point of this Tour : N 46°29.734 E oo7°41.470 At this location you have to figure out the coords to the treasuretin. There`s a big white sign Treasuretin coords: N 46° 29.XXX E oo7°41.YYY XXX= Oeschinensee (high) - 863 (minus) Checksumme: X+X+X = 13 YYY= Bergstation (high) - 1115 (minus) Checksumme: Y+Y+Y = 18 Hike on to the treasuretin coords and search for the final Cache site coords. The coords are inside, please do not remove them. It's a micro cache. (in chase you have bad satelite strengh, the treasuretin is about 7 - 8 meters left from the yellow sign) Now you are prepaired to find the Cache, take the final Cachesite-cords you find inside the treasuretin and hike up the mountain. Personaly I recommend the smal pathway by the stage of treasuretin. It goes left up to oeschienen. Anyway, as long as you hike up, any way or path takes you along to Oeschinenlake :o) Use your pathfinding talents :o) After you made a muggle-free log entry, trade, left or took some bugs - you can walk right down to the Ice breaking point final coords and relax after the most difficult caches you ever made :-) Because of so many muggles there is no cache to search at the ice breaking watchpoint (the cords of the Cache-listing) . Just enjoy the final spot and watch for ice falling down the Glacier. A little bit further there is a picnic area with grill and campfire spot. So be sure that you have some nice WURSTELS or Grillfleisch handy. I recommend to collect the wood for campfire at the Cachesite, because around the lake the squirrels used the whole wood up, for sommernight partys... Hope 2 C u out there Onkel Bifbof PS: The cachesite cords are in the special hints available (just in case)
