Cache is located on the Sam Merrill Trail. We have hiked this trail many times. Thought we would place a couple caches on the trail leading up to Echo Mtn. Now you can stop and take a break and search for a cache. Take the 210 Fwy, get off Lake Ave go to the end and park. Walk thru the iron gates. Trailhead is 34 12.239/118 07.715. Take the trail to the left just past the "sign in" do not take the trail that heads down and don't take the road.
5 X 15 Army Gas Mask container: Log and pen. Usual cache stash. Cache is hidden ON the trail and that's the way the trailkeeper likes it. On a busy hiking weekend there will be alot of muggles hiking by at this location (that's why the name) but there is a great view of the downtown.
Please take the time to rehide the cache better than found.
You should hike all the way to Echo Mountain. I'ts a historical site with picnic tables and a great view.
