What do you mean I need a key!!?? Multi-cache

This cache has been archived.

MountainMacs: Well time to put this one to bed, not only is the road closed but the cache is indeed MIA!

Many thanks to IRLPGUY, #1 FIREFIGTER and LIMOS for their efforts to find it. This was definitely one of my favorite caches and while I am sorry to see it gone I am pleased to see it has been copied in several locations (most likely thanks to an honorable mention on one of the ICENRYE videos last year!)

While I do have an idea for a similar cache that is even cooler than this one (it will also need a key!), I probably won't get around to doing it. So if you think you might be interested drop me a line and I will tell you what it is!

Hope you all enjoyed this one, and thanks for all the great comments and emails.

If you have found your way here because you have just found a key.... sorry... please just discard the key to get it out of circulation, without the original lock they are of little value!

Geocache Description:

The final cache IS at the co-ordinates listed above!.... Read on!

Wow a multi cache that is actually at the co-ordinates listed? There must be a catch, why don't I just go straight there?

Glad you asked.... you see, it is locked, you will need a key!

Where will I find a key you ask?

Another good question, unfortunately I have no intention of telling you! I will tell you this though, there are 20 keys that will open the cache and I have placed them in existing cache containers around Chilliwack and Abbottsford. All you have to do is find one. (see the attached pictures for an idea of what you are looking for)

That should be easy, I will just check your stats and see what caches you have visited lately, the keys are probably in those!

Sorry, No. That would be too easy. Instead I have placed the keys into caches I have previously visited and new caches I have recently found but will hold off logging till later!

OK Fair enough what do I do once I have found a key?

Ah that's the fun part. Here is what I would like you to do.....

1 - When you log the cache you found the key in, feel free to mention you found a key! But please do NOT say if there are other keys still in that cache.

2 - Head on up and find this cache, then when you log your find, PLEASE LOG WHAT KEY NUMBER YOU HAD AND WHERE YOU ORIGINALLY FOUND IT.

3 - Once you are finished drop your key off in some other cache someplace else BUT DO NOT LOG THAT YOU LEFT A KEY THERE. Just drop it in anonymously for someone else to stumble across! Fell free to drop it into any cache, even if there is already another key there.

Sounds like fun,…. is the final cache easy to find?

Sort of.... a standard car will make it but a truck SUV, or 4WD will be better. Hence the terrain rating I chose.

You will want to park at
49.04.303
121.53.447
elevation 750 feet. (your GPS'r will say you are close several times until you reach this elevation!)
Although you may not believe it you can reach this cache from either Chilliwack lake road or the Cultus Lake side! Whichever way you go, continue your trip to the other side, it is well worth it!

From the parking, project a path 81 degrees about 270 feet, That should take you to the co-ords of this cache. You are looking for a large toolbox container in a black plastic bag. It contains DVD's VHS tapes, CD's, Books and other misc cool stuff (see picture).

One last note, as there are only 20 keys circulating (and some of those won't be found for a very long time :-) ) please drop your key back into play as soon as possible, even if you have not found the cache yet!

Good luck and Have Fun!
