Nice .6 mile hike on Hopatcong Nature path along ATV trails connecting Byram/Stanhope with Hopatcong.
Second in a series of Hopatcong Nature Trail cache's. Park at trail head N40 57.461 W74 40.444 and begin your hike along the ATV trails. Gradual ascent the whole way to the cache area. Be aware of steep drop offs around ground zero, cache is nestled between. Container is a platic coffee container (never used the same cache cannister twice so why start here). Plenty of room for reasonable size trades. Ground zero shows signs of muggles (i.e. lots of abandoned camp fires, small propane cannisters, etc.) but the cache is obscured from the casual observer. Bring along a trash bag and help keep this area clean. There are some nice views from this location if you hike in along the ridge line.
