On the southern side of Greenham Common, near Newbury, Berkshire. Level gravel paths. Alternative parking involves a gentle climb through woodland.
The cache is named Practice Common as it is hidden near to the mock up of a 'plane that was used by firefighters to practice their skills when the area was an American airbase. Suggested parking is at N51 22.560, W001 18.010. Please keep to the gravel paths on your way to the cache (even if your GPSr suggests you go through the woods). Please also keep your dogs on a lead between 1st March and the end of July as there are many ground nesting birds in the area. Alternative parking during bird nesting season = N51 12.487 W001 17.609. This is a layby on the very busy A.339. The cache is a small plastic container with a log book. PLEASE DO NOT LOOK FOR THIS CACHE IN THE DARK.
