CITO and Meet The Frog!
Joefrog has moved to New York! Come visit, help clean up, and help me put some faces with the names!
NOTE! To accomodate a request from LIGO, this event has been bumped back a week to April 23! This CITO event will be located in Flushing Meadows Park from 8:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m., starting near one of the first geocaches I've attempted since moving here, and working our way around the area. My first search made me say "yikes" "yuck" and a few other descriptives at the amount of garbage around and all over the park. Come help do your part to make this a better place to be!
The coordinates are near a local cache, and very near a playground for the kiddies to be entertained during the event. Bring lots of supplies, and some bread for the ducks. I will supply a few boxes of garbage bags, and hopefully a few other items. Hopefully the park system will donate some supplies as well!
There will be a few door prizes for participants! If you want to donate a door prize, please bring it with you to the event.
To encourage individuals to attend CITO events in New York, NYGO plans
to have a raffle. Everyone that attends an official CITO event in New
York during the month of April will be entered into the draw. One name
will be selected from the entries, and that person will be awarded a
2005 Empire Park Pass.
