Old 146 Travel Bug Hotel
Not so long ago, Rt 146 which links Providence and Worcester was
mostly a 2-lane highway north of the Rhode Island state line. This
highway is still a work in progress.
This cache is located on a small piece of the old highway that
hasn't seen traffic in decades.
Located conveniently off an exit, this cache is intended to be
used to pick up or drop off Travel Bugs. There are
other caches of this type in Massachusetts, but not in this
region.
The terrain rating for this cache is rated at 2 as guidance for
handicapped cachers. The typical cacher shouldn't find the terrain
bad at all.
The rules are simple for this cache. If you have a travel bug
that you need to unload or just want to help one on its mission,
place or take one at your pleasure. This is a Hotel, not a
PRISON. There are NO RESTRICTIONS ON THE AMOUNT YOU CAN
LEAVE OR TAKE. Log this as a find on your first visit
only. Subsequent visits should be logged as a
note. Please sign the logbook.
It is hoped that this hotel will
be frequented by many guests. If you find all the rooms empty, it's
because our clients are visiting other parts of the world right
now!
The cache is a standard ammo can and trade items are welcome,
but the main purpose is as a Travel Bug Hotel.
