Warm clothing should be worn as altitude of over 1600 foot at cache
although not much accent from parking.
We chose this as Lynne loves this very pleasant walk, one that
we have done often as it is so peaceful that at times you will not
meet another soul during the entire walk. Paths are good through
forestry, and gps signals are no problem around the cache area.
This is one that is suitable for all the family. We believe that
the cache can be reached from many points as many paths are in this
area. From the parking point listed below the walk was just under a
mile with slight uphill gradients. Some forestry has now been
cleared - enhancing the views making this walk even more
delightful. At the cache site you will be greeted with marvellous
views of the Brecon Beacons in the distance. The cache is hidden in
a Tupperware style box. The cache - a tupperware style box should
be easy to find. Please put it back as found ready for the next
Geocacher. The cache included some swaps and a log book to record
your find.
If you have not visited the
Rhondda cache,
mountain view or
The Rhondda Travel bug boot camp these are both nearby to this
cache.
One reason for us choosing our caches here in the beautiful
Rhondda Valley is to allow others to explore the beauty of the area
where we live. Once scarred by the many Mines that were once in
abundance in the valley - the Rhondda valley has now been
transformed to what it once was before mining began in the Valleys
- a place of much beauty.
