Hoosier Pioneers. In less than a year, the quest has grown to over
a hundred caches hidden in eleven north Indiana counties, and the
hiders have grown to four cacher teams, each comprised of A Man
and His Dog...Come with us and take a virtual tour via the cache
page galleries of interesting Tombstones , both historic and
modern... PRAIRIEPARTNERS has set a record
for one-day ISQ finds on 10-16-2004 at 55! 121 cacher teams have
logged over 1,650 finds.
INDIANA SPIRIT
QUEST #115
” PVT. ETHAN ROGERS, 1ST CONN. REGT."
The Shadow has selected Wright Cemetery,
Salem Township, Steuben County, for this caching extravaganza. Even
tho you cannot see him, Listen carefully to what the facinating
SHADOW has to say about this place:
Come with me on a tour of
Wright Cemetery, old and rather large. A newer addition has the
south side of the highway.
There is a loop drive
around the north side (use when dry). I really liked this site as
it does give the feeling of privacy and seclusion. In warmer
weather, a good deal of time could be spent here just walking
around. There are a lot of interesting, older markers to look at.
Many are in excellent condition and quite legible. The grounds are
well kept.
This cemetery is the home
of many veterans, from most all of our wars, including one from the
Revolution, Ethan Rogers. His location is 168 feet @ 278 degrees
from the old cache. Now he is 134' @ 234 degrees.Whoa!! Now from
cache to Rogers in 212 feet at 138 degrees... Please pay your
respects there.

Thanks; Lamont, give our regards to the lovely Margo!
The cache container was a
small camo'd match holder. Now it's a small loc-n-loc. BYOP.
Park with care. If you find a fallen US flag, please stick
it back in the ground. As always, please be respectful, and cache
in, trash out.
