LX4 is on one of 3 small islands off the western coast of Koh
Chang, which in turn is the 2nd largest Thai Island.
Once you get to Koh Chang, you can get a kayak or a small
motorzied boat at one of the sea side resorts. The islands are
about 2.5Km from the larger island. Expect up to an hour on the
sea.
I've seen some people drag their kayaks out onto the island, but
most boats will have to stay anchored in the water. If you come in
something other than a kayak, expect to swim a short distance to
the shore. (I'm really not a good swimmer, but the water was
calm enough for me to make it to the shore with two heavy boots
hanging over my neck quite easily)
If you're into snorkling, there are some really colourful fish
in the water in the area.
Items that you should consider bringing
- Sunblock
- Water (Can be bought on Koh Chang)
- Waterproof bags (for any sensitive items)
- Snorkel and Goggles
- Extra Batteries
Watch out for loose rocks on the island!
