The coordinates above are not the actual cache coordinates.
They do, however, point to a good place to park to begin your hunt. Park at the coordinates, walk across the isthmus and then head towards the cache. The cache is in a well hidden ammo box. WARNING: Snakes have been spotted in this area so bring your geo-stick.
Geocachers have many and diverse interests. So, for our first cache hide, we decided to do a literary mystery cache.
A poet, beloved to The Popeteers, was born in 1874 and was raised in Liverpool and Glasgow. He emigrated to Canada and eventually to France where he died in 1958. Along the way, he penned many memorable poems and ballads. Below is the first stanza of one of his most famous ballads. Fill in the last line of this stanza to learn the true cache coordinates.
There are strange things done in the midnight sun
By the men who moil for gold;
The arctic trails have their secret tales
That would make your blood run cold;
The Northern Lights have seen queer sights,
But the queerest they ever did see
Was that night on the marge of Lake Lebarge
