We discovered this new trail through an article in the Seattle P-I and have been dying to hike it ever since. The trail, history, and scenery was spectacular every step of the way.
This cache is located about 1.50 miles from the trailhead. After leaving Hubbard Lake you will descend a very narrow valley and emerge on a lookout over the Stillaguamish River. You are now standing on the old railroad grade for the Everett & Monte Christo Railway. Take the time to enjoy the view and observe the history. From here to the end of the trail, almost two miles further, you will be hiking through a historic area with many remnants of the past. Please leave the bits of history for others to enjoy just the way you found them. For driving directions to the trailhead please read the article.
