Salmon’s revival:
The Leguer is a small coastal river flowing into the bay of Lannion (French Brittany, Cotes d'Armor district). It's a river with a large salmon population within a river basin of 50,000 hectares, mainly occupied with farming activity.
The hydropower dam of Kernansquillec became the first dam to be removed on a salmon river in France. It has been demolished in 1996. It was a multiple arch dam, 75-year-old, 15 m high, with a reservoir capacity of 400 000 m3.
3 kilometers upstream of the site of the old dam we find the ruins of the old Vallee’s paper mill. Until 1965 it was one of the principal employers of the area.

Le Léguer est un petit fleuve côtier débouchant dans la baie de Lannion (département des Cotes d’Armor). Il a pour particularité d’être une rivière a saumons située dans un bassin de 50 000 hectares domine par l’activité agricole.
Le barrage de Kernansquillec a été le premier barrage a être détruit sur une rivière a saumons en France. Vieux de 75 ans, il a été démoli en 1996. C'était un barrage multi-voutes de 15 m de hauteur et 400 000 m3 de capacité.
A 3 kilomètres en amont du site de l'ancien barrage on trouve les ruines de l'ancienne papeterie Vallée. Jusqu'en 1965 elle était un des principaux employeurs de la region.
