Injerbreck Triangle Part Two Traditional Geocache

This cache has been archived.

=^..^=: This cache has been around for 15 years, the location has been around for a lot longer and that really is what I wanted people to find.

When I started placing geocaches there were only a couple of the Island - and generally they were in walls or similar in Douglas.

I spread caches out across the island - for instance the injerbreck triangle caches present incredible vistas of the island - and generally I doubt anyone would go there unless I'd put a cache there.

But I can't commit to a maintenance schedule that wasn't there 15 years ago when I placed the cache.

So I'm shutting all the caches down.

I'm going to archive them and let Geocaching shut them down permanently.

Geocache Description:

Cache is located at 1,300 feet. The nearest car parking space is over 1.5 miles away (as the crow flies). Not an easy cache as the track to it is best described as a sheep track.

I'd suggest climbing up Cronk Brek, picking up Red Mountain as you pass, getting Injerbreck Triangle Part One, get this cache and then moving on to Injerbreck Triangle Part Three.

You need to be a little bit careful around the cache location as there are a few steep slopes and lots of wet grass.

This is part of the Island that you are unlikely to have visited - and its a great shame as the views are great. The view of injerbreck is one, obviously, that you would not get from anywhere else and you are unlikely to have seen before.

If you are picking up the caches in the order I suggest then there are two routes to number three. Either head straight to the cache, which is an easy slightly slippy route but unrewarding... or head down towards the reservoir (but don't cross the wall) and follow the sheep track alongside the wall for about half a mile where you can spot a track uptowards cache three. The track has clearly been cut out - but for what purpose ? And who walked up this zig-zag route up the hill ?

The Cache is in a cycling drinks bottle - totally waterproof but with little space for 'finds'. Anything you intend to leave must fit in the neck of the bottle.

This cache has been removed before - please ensure it is well hidden
