Ab 1938 geplant wurde diese Siedlung mit dem benachbarten VW-Werk (am Anfang eine Ausbildungsstätte, in der Jugendliche zu Facharbeitern ausgebildet werden) gebaut. Somit ist das Braunschweiger Werk älter als das Hauptwerk in Wolfsburg.


As from 1938 planed, this estate was build together with the neighbouring to the VW- factory (in the beginning a training-area to train young person to be skilled worker). Consequently the Braunschweig factory is older than the main factory in Wolfsburg.
