House of the King Traditional Geocache

This cache has been archived.

trode: Well, now for the rest of the story. Apparently the muggles who spotted the last finder replacing the cache reported it as a suspicious item to the Mountain View Police Department. This caused the Police and Bomb Squad to come out and they retrieved the cache.

Someone at the police department recognized what they had and eventually I got an e-mail. I went in, described the cache, and they gave it back to me. The helpful officer at the police department said this was the second geocache they had recovered (the first was a keyholder) so they were starting to learn about geocaching. I described the hobby to him and he said it sounded like it might be fun. He was amazed that this cache had been hidden for almost a year.

The cache and contents appear to be completely intact, notably including the TB. All things considered, it does not seem appropriate to re-hide the cache in the same manner, so this is the end of HOUSE OF THE KING.

Geocache Description:

A little park for little people, but with a grand name.

The cache is a camoed container bigger than a spice bottle but not as big as a normal ammo box.  Although this park is often empty, it is also quite small.  I do not advise trying to search if muggles are present.  Original contents of the cache were:

whistle
soccer carabiner with key rings
purple necklace
ladybug compass
soccer coin
white necklace
“Honeymoon Bug” TB
Sacagawea dollar coin
logbook with pen

This park has some lush ivy.  I hate ivy.  The cache is not in the ivy.
