Sjælsølund
Sjælsølund er en skov, som ligger nord for Sjælsø. Denne skov er
et af de få områder, hvor offentligheden kan komme helt ned til
Sjælsø. Ellers er Sjælsø omgivet af militært øvelsesområde og
privatejet jord. Dette er lidt synd, da Sjælsø er en smuk sø
omgivet af skråninger med skov og eng. Idéen med denne cache er, at
andre kan komme ud og opleve skoven og Sjælsø tæt på. Derfor kræver
denne cache også, at man har vandreskoene på.
Sjælsø
Sjælsø er på 293 hektar og er over 5 meter dyb. Hele søen rummer
mere end 8 millioner kubikmeter vand. Søen blev frem til 1998 brugt
til vandindvinding af Gentofte Kommunes Vandforsyning.

Det er muligt at komme tættere på cachen i bil, men der er ingen
offentlige parkeringsmuligheder. Vær venlig at respektere
dette!
Vigtigt! I det lave område øst for cachen
er der meget sumpet!!!
Cachen er en plasticboks på 20 X 10 X 10 cm i en mørk
plasticpose.
Sjælsølund
Sjælsølund is a forest situated north of Lake Sjælsø. The forest
is one of the few areas where the public can access Lake Sjælsø.
Otherwise Lake Sjælsø is surrounded by a military exercise area and
privately owned land. This is a pity as Lake Sjælsø is a beautiful
lake surrounded by slopes with wood and meadows. The purpose of
this cache is to make other people experience the forest and Lake
Sjælsø up close. Therefore, this cache requires you to wear hiking
shoes.
Lake Sjælsø
Lake Sjælsø is 293 hectares and more than 5 metres deep. The
entire lake contains more than 8 millions cubic metres of water.
Until 1998 the lake was used for gaining water for the water supply
of Gentofte municipality.

Important! In the low area east of the
cache the soil is very muddy!!!
