Usual plastic box in a churchyard
Shearsby is a quiet village to the South of Leicester once known as "Cherisbye" and which once had a salt bathing spa.Now there is an excellent pub "The Chandlers Arms" by the village green which was purchased for the enjoyment of the villagers by public subscription (the green not the pub). This is the venue for "Jazz on the Green" every August, organized to raise funds for village community projects.
The Church of St Mary Magdalene sits on a high point in the village with its oldest grave dating back to 1601.This cache will take you there so enjoy the peace and respect the village.
Don't worry about being seen from the nearby houses - the residents and the Church authorities know it is there.
