Geocache Description:

A short walk to a interisting location

This is my first cache. It is located on the border of the Lasdon Bird sanctuary. You can park either on Wood Street or in the parking lot for the sanctuary but if you go in from wood St. be advised this is Watershed property and you are supposed to have a permit to be on the land. You can get the free permit from PERMIT . if you go in the other way you don’t have to go on DEC land at all but you will proudly want to get closer to check out the falls. I used to sneak in and swim in the water below the falls. The water was so cold you would not sweet for two days. There is a lot of tree cover and power lines to throw off gpsr readings. I tried hard to get good coordinates so let me know how they are. If you are into flowers and plants Lasdon Park and its great gardens are worth a visit. Just up the hill on Rt. 35.
